14U and Older - Revolution Partnership
BGFA and Revolution Partnership for 14U and up
The Buffalo Girls Fastpitch Board is thrilled to announce a co-operative partnership with the Revolution softball program for the 14U and older teams beginning with the 2026 season. The Revolution is a co-op between the Delano and Rockford communities.
This decision was made because the landscape for travel softball for the 14U and up levels has dramatically changed with the rise of club ball. All associations at this age level are challenged with fielding teams on a consistent basis based on limited numbers of available players.
The Revolution softball program was formed in 2014 because partnering with other local communities experiencing similar issues was a logical and mutually beneficial approach to ensure our girls have accessibility to play softball at a high level locally as they get older.
With the new partnership between the Buffalo, Delano and Rockford communities, Revolution will continue to provide consistent opportunities to play association-based softball at the Gold, A, and B level of play.
Revolution forms teams each year in the Gold, A and B levels as we are able. We do not pre-determine the level of play for teams we are forming each year. During tryouts we will form a general idea of the skill level of the team when making offers. During fall practices we are confirming and finalizing what level of play will challenge each team for the summer season while still providing them opportunities to be successful. Revolution teams typically play 25-35 games during the summer season.
Revolution teams have been competitive and successful at all levels of play.

About Revolution
Revolution is a competitive co-op association-based program serving the Buffalo (BGFA), Delano (DYBSA) and Rockford (RAAA) communities at the 14U-18U age-levels that is focused on skill enhancement, growing a lasting love for the game, and developing players who know how to compete with the ultimate goal of preparing our players for their high school softball careers. Our home fields are in Buffalo, Delano and Rockford.
Players in our program can be from any community. We have had from Rockford, Delano, Becker, Big Lake, Maple Lake, Monticello, Rocori, Buffalo, STMA, Hopkins, Wayzata, Montevideo, HLWW, Cottage Grove, Plymouth, Zimmerman, Rogers, Melrose, Orono, Otsego, Maple Grove, Morris, River Falls, WI, and even Canada.
Revolution players are typically 2-3 sport athletes. They are athletes that want to play softball at a competitive level but also want to have time to participate and train for other sports/activities.
The Revolution program aims to offer a "hybrid club" experience. Like a club program we provide athletes with like-skilled teammates, non-parent coaches (many are high school coaches and/or have played in college), fall training opportunities, and competitive summer schedules. We do not typically provide organized winter training.
Revolution retains the association based philosophy of being dedicated to developing athletes that are engaged in their home community and excel within their high school programs. Teams are formed with smaller rosters, with an emphasis on filling the team with athletes willing to fill any role that team needs rather than filling positions.
