Training Opportunities

Summer Softball Camp Opportunities

• One camp opportunity for players in 8U through 14U will be hosted here in Buffalo at Bentfield Mills Park. This camp will be run by instructors from Pitch2Pitch, a softball training facility that we have partnered with for winter training. The camp will be held July 21-23 from 6pm-8pm each evening. The camp cost is $145. Here is a link to a registration form for the camp:  Pitch2Pitch Camp
• Note that the registration shows other associations' camps as well, please be sure to select the "Buffalo Evening Camp", and to select the "NW SB Evening All Skills Camp" when registering.

• Another camp opportunity will be hosted at Crown College in St. Bonifacius. This camp will be run by coaches/instructors from Crown College. Crown College and Nike are partnering with our Revolution softball program to offer this camp to kids ages 9-16 years old. The camp will be held August 11-13, 9am - 3pm each day. The camp cost is $305. (Note, this is not an overnight camp, it is a day camp.) Here is the link for more information and to register:  Crown College Camp

Please note that both camps are being offered by organizations outside of BGFA, any registration questions should be directed to those organizations.

• All softball players that will be 10U and 12U eligible for the 2027 season will be required to go through evaluations. 
• Evaluations are used by the BGFA board to help form teams.
• There will not be a second evaluation date, please reserve the evening of Tuesday, July 28 on your calendars now.

Batting Cage:  Starting in November and continuing through February 2026, BGFA has reserved the middle school batting cage from 6-9PM. Space is very limited so we will be limiting it to a max of 10 girls per time slot. 6U/8U/10U players may sign up for slots from 6-7:30pm and 12U/14U players may sign up from 7:30-9pm. Please make sure to cancel out if you do not plan on attending in order to allow room for others to participate. If able, please volunteer to help as it is volunteer based and help is always needed. Know that the small space and bat/balls is not a good location for younger siblings so please plan accordingly if possible for safety reasons.

January/February 2026 Clinics: We have been able to secure gym space on Sunday evenings in the months of January and February at the Buffalo High School from 6-8pm. This is an added opportunity for 2026.

When: Sunday evenings (January 5, 12, 19 & 26; February 2, 16 & 23) (no clinic on February 9)

Where:  Buffalo High School (January will be in the west gym; February will be in the Activity Center, courts 1 & 2), enter through the activity center doors

Time: 6U/8U/10U 6:00pm - 6:50pm and 12U/14U 7:00pm - 8:00pm

MARCH SKILLS CLINICS

Clinics are open and free to all players registered for the 2026 season. Sessions will be run by the Buffalo High School softball players. This is not a required clinic but it gives the girls another opportunity to get some work in before the season starts. Please have the players bring a glove, bat, helmet, defensive mask and water bottle.

• When: Tuesday and Thursday evenings throughout March
• Where: Buffalo High School Activity Center
• Times: 6U/8U/10U will be from 6:00-6:50 and 12U/14U will be from 8:00-9:00
• Signup: Signing up is not required but will help us gauge how many girls will be at each session, here is the link to sign up

MARCH PITCHING AND CATCHING

Girls that are interested in pitching and/or catching will have an opportunity to start doing some pitching and catching during the March Skills Clinics. These sessions will also be run by Buffalo High School players and potentially a few other instructors. If catchers have their own gear, please bring that with.

• When: Tuesday and Thursday evenings throughout March during the March Skills Clinics
• Where: Buffalo High School Activity Center
• Times: 10U will be from 7:00-7:30 and 12U/14U will be from 7:30-8:00
• Signup:  Signing up is not required but will help us gauge how many girls will be at each session, here is the link to sign up
